Portable Toilets Site Requirements & Logistics
To ensure a seamless delivery and setup on the day, please review our standard site requirements. Our team is expert at navigating rural and unique venues, but a few basics are essential for the units to operate at their best:
Access & Clearances: Our units are towed by 4×4 vehicles. We require a minimum entrance and track width of 3 metres, with adequate height clearance from low-hanging branches or archways. If your access is particularly tight or winding, please let us know in advance.
Ground Conditions: For the “Fresh Flush” system and internal doors to operate perfectly, the trailer must be parked on level, firm ground. Hard-standing, gravel, or dry, well-established grass is ideal. We provide stabilising jacks to ensure the unit is rock-steady for your guests.
Power Requirements: Each luxury unit requires a dedicated power source to run the lighting, pumps, and heating. A standard 13-amp (household) plug or a 16-amp (blue industrial) hook-up is required.
Water Supply: All of our luxury trailers are fully self-contained with internal water tanks. However, for events lasting more than 48 hours.

Power & Water Requirements
Yes. All of our mobile units require a constant power supply to operate the lighting, pumps, and climate control.
We can connect to a standard 13-amp household socket or a 16-amp industrial hook-up. If your event is in a remote location, we can also provide generator hire to ensure seamless operation.
Do the toilets need a mains water connection?
No. Our luxury toilet trailers are entirely self-contained and arrive with a full tank of fresh water. For long-term hires (over 48 hours), access to a water source is helpful but not essential for standard event durations.
Do the mobile showers require water?
Yes. Unlike our toilet units, the mobile showers require a continuous water supply. We will plumb the unit into your site’s water mains upon delivery to ensure a steady flow for your guests.
Do the Loos come with toilet roll?
We provide soap toilet tissue, hand dryers. If there is anything specific you would like inside the loos, please don’t hesitate to ask and we will do our best to provide it for you.

What is provided inside the luxury units?
We ensure your units are “event-ready.” This includes high-quality toilet tissue, luxury hand soap, and hand-drying facilities.
If you have specific requirements—such as premium hand lotions or bespoke toiletries to match your wedding theme—just let us know, and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
Do the showers come with gas for hot water?
Yes. All shower units are supplied with two 47kg gas bottles to ensure plenty of hot water for your guests. Alternatively, if you have your own supply on-site, we are happy to connect to that instead.
Logistics & Insurance
Are delivery and collection charges extra?
No. We believe in transparent pricing. The price provided in your bespoke quote is fully inclusive of delivery, setup, and collection, so there are no hidden surprises.
Are the units insured during my event?
While Cartaloo maintains full Public Liability Insurance, the client is responsible for the safekeeping and security of all units (including loos, showers, generators, and fridges) from the moment of delivery until they are safely collected by our team.
We recommend checking that your event insurance covers hired equipment.
